Amir recently turned 18 and so his mum asked me to make him a special card. He has two guitars, she told me, and he volunteers with
Magen David Adom, Israel's national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance and blood bank service. The name means "Red Shield of David". She also asked me to add a small picture of
Cookie Monster and the
Guns N’ Roses iconic bullet logo.
I have shown Amir wearing his white Magen David Adom shirt. He has exact copies of his treasured guitars in each hand (oh boy, they were hard work to create!). Over his right shoulder are the Guns N' Roses logo and Cookie Monster. A big yellow number 18 marks his age. The Hebrew greeting on the card says "To our Amir, congratulations, you're a year older".
Eitan also turned 18. His mum requested a card with a birthday theme, but with something extra - a bottle of vodka! I also included a piece of cake, a party hat and a birthday card, along with a big number 18, and some stars to match those on the vodka bottle.
"The card is great. Thanks." she messaged me.
Great cards once again. The story behind cookie monster has me curious.
