Dalia and Noach

A new customer who has been following my blog for a while contacted me and asked me to make a special card for her parent's upcoming 50th wedding anniversary. "I follow and carefully read all your posts!" she wrote to me. I was happy to hear that I have an avid reader. She sent me this wonderful photo of her parents on their wedding day back in 1971 and decided on an extra large card for their big day. "I think a Golden Anniversary is THE occasion to go BIG" she wrote to me.
I carefully recreated the photo of the young couple out of paper, adding the lace details of the bride's sleeve, the ribbon around the red rose that she is holding and the white handkerchief sticking out the groom's jacket pocket. I included a gold number 50 to mark their special anniversary. My customer asked me to simply write the couple's names and the date of their anniversary at the bottom of the card, in the style of a wedding invitation.
She was delighted with the end result. "I picked up the card - it's fabulous! Thank you for your craftsmanship." she wrote to me.

An amazing likeness! Lisa, I've not been able to do any blogging these past few weeks and didn't get to wish you Shana Tova. I was also thinking about you during the fires, sorry I didn't get in touch to see you were OK. Now I can wish you Gmar Hatima Tova as well, my friend, stay safe.
