A new customer wrote to me telling me that she was looking for a really
special card for her parents golden wedding anniversary. She wanted to know if
I could make something based on some photos of her parents. She sent me
various pictures of the couple on their wedding day, some of which were very
blurry, but I managed to see what they wore on their big day well enough to
create a new portrait of the two of them together.
I carefully cut out the details of the bride's veil and copied the beautiful
colours in her bouquet. The groom, I noted, had a white
kippa (skullcap) and wore a carnation in his lapel. Apparently white
carnations represent pure love and good luck! I added a soft golden background
and a gold number 50 to marked the number of years the couple have been
married.
The card took a long, long time to reach its destination but my customer was really pleased with it when it finally arrived. "It's gorgeous, really excited to give it to them!" she wrote to me. "They'll be so excited to see it!"

It's a sad fact that old photos fade away. Many from my childhood are quite blurry. Your art is beautiful as always. I'm sure the couple are thrilled to receive it.
A 50th wedding anniversary is a big one that not everybody reaches. So you are fortunate to be able to work with old photos and their oldfashioned outfits :) Great job!
I am sure your card will become a family keepsake!
This is so special for such a special anniversary!
Yu made a very special card for the anniversary couple. I am sure they loved it. Wishing you all the best for 2022, stay safe.
Well done on creating a card from a faded photo. You've done a wonderful job; the bouquet is gorgeous. xx
That is amazing. I like it.
What a special card you made for this special occasion! Simply beautiful!
How wonderful you were able to recreate their images from older blurry photos. It turned out great!
Photos do fade and cameras (for regular people) weren't as good back then -- the recreated memories will be even more special for that! A beautiful card.
Wow - isn't that great, and clearly so personal. Thanks for sharing with #PocoLo
